Editorial Policy

We write every description and guide ourselves. A screen gets a short, plain name, because a title of two hundred characters serves a search box, not a person measuring a doorway.

A specification says what the screen is: its fabric, how it closes, the opening it fits and the size of the mesh itself. We do not round a figure up, and we say plainly what a screen will not do.

For health, safety and energy questions we go to the bodies that study them: the CDC for mosquitoes, the Consumer Product Safety Commission for engines in a garage, ENERGY STAR for air sealing. Our guides quote their pages and link to them.

If something here is wrong, write to opening@fego-us.com and we will correct it.
